Background
Yukino is the oldest of three sisters. Her parents are a Japanese doctor couple who left their native country to pursue their careers in America. She spent most of her childhood in Japan. In summer of middle school, she went on an overseas exchange trip to Canada with her family and stayed with an American family. Her host family adopted her as their own child, teaching her the English language and introducing her to American culture. Her host family also gave her a nickname "Yuki" (雪) which means snow, given to her by her American host sister.
In high school, she was introduced to the KPD through a dedicated officer.
