Gemlo personality type is INFJ, and I am an INFJ. I suppose it’s not surprising, since my views are closer to that of the author of "The Type A Behavior Antidote".
However, this book is not about Type A behaviour, it’s about personality types.
The "Gemlo" in the title refers to the author's (Gemma) nickname.
I don’t think that Type A behaviour is simply the opposite of Gemlo, but the difference between them is actually quite significant.
People who are Type A are extremely driven and proactive. They are people who rarely give up on their goals and are constantly striving for success. They have a strong sense of being in control of their lives and see themselves as the main influencers in their world. It's hard for them to accept any form of criticism or failure as something that could have been avoided.
In contrast, those who are Gemlo have a much easier life. They often put off their dreams, simply to avoid failure and disappointment. They don't focus on what could go wrong, and instead always focus on what could go right.
