In the past, I have had an android phone and an ipad that I used to surf the net and send emails. And I have used my IPad as a kind of a guidebook to the world. It was purely personal use. I was not doing any business with any organization or corporation. But then I got to thinking about the IPad that way. What if I could use my IPad like a guidebook and find out things about people that would help me in my job?
The logic behind this idea was this, If I can use my IPad for something other than personal use what can I do with it that would be useful to my job? So, I began to think and think and think and think. The first thing that came to mind was to use the IPad to find the perfect word to describe each person that I met. I would read a lot of books and I would listen to the soft speeches of people and then look at the word they used to describe another person. That would give me an idea of what they are like and what they are like to work with.
I did this for years.
