Dariush Forouhar (Persian: داریوش فروهر؛ December 28, 1998 - December 22, 1998) He was one of the leaders of the National Front of Iran from 1977 to 1979 until he left the National Front of Iran in early 1979. He was also one of the pioneers of the Pan-Iranian movement.
After the 1978 revolution, Dariush Forouhar became the Minister of Labor and then the Minister of Commerce in the government of Mehdi Bazargan. After that, he ran for the presidency of Iran (1979) but did not succeed. From the beginning of 1980, he joined the ranks of critics of the Islamic Republic. In 1981, several members of his party were executed. He himself was imprisoned. Dariush Forouhar was a radical opponent of the Islamic Republic inside the country and called for a referendum to determine a new system of government for Iran.
