The lyrics in their new album could be interpreted as being sarcastic, but I think that they really have a lot of emotion in their songs and that those lyrics are a reflection of those feelings. They are very sincere in the way that they express how they feel.
Some people probably take it personal, but I think that there is a lot of meaning behind every word that they sing.
