JedForMe Well it's not important for me to know or even care about the type of artist or songwriter. What I care about is the talent. I'd rather be listening to a songwriter who is great at writing songs than someone who is great at playing an instrument. I believe this is basically the case with most people.
This isn't just limited to songwriters though, as I was reading on the MBTI site, there are some artists who are in more natural roles than others. For example, someone may be more naturally a writer than they are at performing, and they're more likely to write more songs on average than they are to perform them. I don't think anyone should be too hard on an artist who is naturally drawn to being a writer and not a performer, that's just the way it is for them.
