Policarpo Quaresma was born on December 21, 1954, in the city of Itaboraí, Brazil. His family moved to São Paulo in 1964.
He was educated at the EMEI of the University of São Paulo. He graduated in Business Administration with honors in 1986. Later on, he went on to receive a Masters in Marketing from the University of São Paulo in 1988. He also attended coaching classes in Brazil and USA, and participated in seminars organised by the University of São Paulo and Brazil’s leading consulting firm, PwC.
Quaresma is a member of the National Federation of Entrepreneurs (FENATEC), and was a member of the board of directors of the University of São Paulo’s Research and Development Foundation (FUNDESP). He is currently a member of the Brazilian Association for Research and Development (ABRADESP).
Quaresma has worked in marketing and strategy for many years. He has worked at McKinsey & Company in Brazil and also in the United States. He has also taught marketing at the University of São Paulo.
