That’s right, INFP. The thinker. The one who’s good at articulating their thoughts. The one who’s good at planning. The one who’s good at seeing the larger picture. The one who’s good at solving problems. The one who’s good at empathizing.
I’m not trying to be dismissive here… I’m just really trying to convey how, even though I consider myself an INFP, I still struggle with the INFJ “mindset”.
The INFJ mindset is, in many ways, very similar to the INFP mindset. They both seek harmony and value relationships above all else. They both value intelligence above all else. They both value their ability to see the big picture over all else. They both value intelligence over spontaneity. They both value intelligence over intuition. They both value intelligence over imagination. And, most importantly, they both value intelligence over emotion.
But what they don’t value is INFJ logic. For example, here are two statements that are obviously true, but are completely alien to an INFP:
