I’m an INFP. When I am being objective, I can see that ON ON is an Idealist sub-type of the ENFP. I can see that I’m INFP. I can see that I have the characteristics of both sub-types. But, when I am being subjective, I can see that I am actually an INFP who has characteristics of both sub-types.
But, this is not the case with everyone. There are people who can see that they are INFPs who have characteristics of both sub-types, but they are still certain that they are either an On or an Off sub-type.
ENFPs are far more likely to think that they are an On sub-type than an Off sub-type.
So, why do some people think that they are one sub-type when they are actually another?
I believe it comes down to how the person perceives themselves. It might be because they are on the On side of the spectrum.
