Nines / FN-2199 personality type is ENTP, so I think it's safe to say that is true. But, rather than "perfectionist" or "loner", I'd probably go with the term he uses, "unique". If that is the case, then I can just see it as him being very determined to do something that others may not be able to comprehend, but he feels is up to par with his expectations.
He's definitely unique, but I don't think he has any kind of perfectionist tendencies or anything like that. I'm not saying he isn't determined, but I think it's more like he is determined to do what he wants to do, and he doesn't like to stop until he gets it right.
Also, I wonder if his personality type has anything to do with his uncanny ability to predict what people are thinking.
Actually, I believe that is the exact purpose of the Nines. The Nines are supposed to be able to figure out what people are thinking, and they are supposed to be able to predict these things. So, I think that's why his Nines can be so accurate.
FN-2199, nicknamed “Nines”, was a human male stormtrooper who served the First Order in the decades following the Galactic Civil War. He served alongside his friend and brother-in-arms, FN-2187. Following FN-2187's desertion, Nines confronted his former comrade at the Battle of Takodana where they fought each other in single combat. Accusing the former trooper of treason, Nines gained the upper hand but was fatally shot by Han Solo before he could kill FN-2187.
Nines was a human male who had red hair, blue eyes and light skin. Trained since birth, he was a loyal soldier in the armed forces of the First Order, to the point of executing civilians in spite of his own reluctance to carry out such an order. Finn's desertion of the Stormtrooper Corps angered Nines, who denounced his former friend as a traitor. He discarded his F-11D blaster rifle and riot shield, choosing to attack Finn with only a single melee weapon.
