Katharine: When I was younger, I was so into being an entertainer that the only reason I didn’t get in trouble was because I had so much fun. I would do anything for attention. I would say yes to anything that seemed fun—music, movies, parties—and I would say no to anything that seemed boring.
I got into lots of trouble for that kind of behavior as a child. My mom was always telling me, “Don’t be such a show-off! You’re not going to be famous! You’re not going to do that! You’re not going to do this!” But I didn’t listen.
