Youko is the mascot of the manga magazine "Dengeki Daioh". Youko is an anthropomorphised version of the moe character Dengeki Daioh, which is a child of the moe anthropomorphized manga magazine.
Youko's adventure begins on her birthday when she opens an envelope that arrives with the magazine; the magazine has also sent her a present, which is a video game called Strikers 1945 II (released on December 7, 2012). She plays the game and completes it, and she finds out that she has won a lottery for a new home. Youko then goes to read about the house; there she finds out that she has won the "Mansion of the Stars", located on top of Mount Fuji.
Yoko had worked on "YuruYuri" for over three years. "YuruYuri" was Yoko's first manga series. It was published in "Dengeki Daioh" from July 2007 to March 2012, and it had two volumes. Yoko was asked if she could write the story about Youko.
Youko (ヨウコ Yōko) is a member of the Moonlit Beauty Gods, a group of underlings that follow Selene.[1]
