Ata Ryutaru (Ryu) personality type is INFP, and it's likely that he's at least somewhat artistic. I don't know the specifics, but I do know that he seems to have a strong interest in music, and he has a nice singing voice. He's also very sensitive, and I can't see him being able to deal with a lot of heavy pressure, which is why he might have been depressed and withdrawn.
He's not that good at socializing and interacting with people, though. I think he's happiest when he's by himself, and he seems to enjoy working on his music.
The other personality type that I could see him having is INFJ (the highest function of the Introverted Intuitive type), which is the most ideal combination of reserved, shy, and moody.
Also, I think that he's not very comfortable in his own skin. He mentions in his blog that he used to take drugs and was interested in tattooing, but cut back on them after he saw some of his friends doing serious damage to their bodies. He says that he's pretty much quit everything since then.
His parents are probably very supportive of him and his artistic endeavors, but they're probably not as supportive of his sexuality.
