To be fair, the pub might be a bit more welcoming if its regulars had been there more often. In fact, it was only in December of last year that the pub opened for business in the first place, which is a little sad. You see, the pub was bought by a man called David Ridley, who said that he wanted to bring back the traditional atmosphere of a traditional pub. The problem with this, though, is that the pub used to be a traditional pub called The Black Swan Inn. I wonder what the old owner would have made of all this…
The Black Swan Inn remains open, by the way, although it is now called The Unicorn Inn.
I don't know why anyone would want to call it The Unicorn Inn. I mean, it sounds almost like a bad joke.
