My experience with the ISFJ personality type was the opposite — I liked being a teenager, but my teenage years were kind of like a prison sentence. I had to work all the time because I was a poor student, and that didn’t leave me much time to be a kid.
I was a social butterfly, but I wasn’t “in love” with anyone — I was too busy trying to make friends and getting along with everybody else. I looked up to my parents because they were always supportive and loving, and that made me want to be kinder and more understanding to my friends and family.
It’s hard to change our personalities into something we didn’t have as kids, but it’s something we can work on every day.
