The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a popular personality test that was developed by Isabel Myers and her mother Katharine Briggs. The test is based on the work of Carl Jung, who believed people are drawn to four different personality types – introverts, extroverts, intuition and sensing. The MBTI test measures these four different traits, which are then explained by the theory of psychological type. This theory suggests that we all have different ways of thinking and problem solving, and that these differences can predict how we do things and how we think about things.
The MBTI test takes about 20 minutes to administer. It consists of a test booklet with 156 true/false questions and a set of self-assessment measures to determine your personality type.
