When it comes to the ISTJ personality type, there are many who believe that ISTJ type is the most efficient, as they are not easily distracted and generally stick to the task at hand. I will admit that I am affected by this myself, and that I too am an ISTJ who sticks to the task at hand. However, ISTJ-ness does not make me a boring person. In fact, I think an ISTJ who is not boring is the most interesting person you could meet. So why is this?
The reason ISTJ-ness doesn’t make me boring is because ISTJs are constantly questioning themselves. For example, when I say “I’m an ISTJ,” what it actually means is “I am an ISTJ type.” And this is different from being “an ISTJ type” or “an ISTJ person.” For example, someone might say, “I am an ISTJ” and you would think, “Oh, okay. Yes, you are an ISTJ.
