In a recent interview with the BBC, REM's Michael Stipe was asked about the band's future, and whether or not he expects to see them perform live together again. He had this to say:
It depends on what the future holds, but I always look forward to playing with those guys. They're like my brothers. One of my wishes is that we could get back together and play songs off of all of the records, which we've never done. If we do it, it'll be the first time in a long time.
After the band's 2001 reunion, it would be nice to see them back together again, although I doubt that will happen anytime soon. Stipe has been busy with his solo career, and he has a new album out soon on Merge Records.
