After graduating from university, he worked at another restaurant in Tokyo, where he learned about the food industry. He then moved on to a restaurant that made sushi for famous restaurants. After this, he joined a company that was creating the new design for an electronic store, called “Yes! Shop.”
In this job, Makino was involved in the creation of all of the store’s interior design. He also contributed to the interior design of the company’s flagship store in Harajuku.
Makino’s experience in that company was invaluable and has helped him to create his own brand of interior design. Makino is now a freelance interior designer working in his own studio, Makino Design Office.
