Varde personality type is INFP, and I am an INFP myself. I have been reading MBTI books for about two years and I have never come across a personality type that could be described as "Varde".
I understand the irony of this, but I was really looking forward to a book that would help me understand my own personality type and how to use that knowledge to my advantage. The author is a very gifted writer, and the book is very well written. He has a very engaging style that makes it very easy to read.
However, as I read on, I became increasingly aware that the author was reading his own books for the first time through an MBTI lens of personality type. He was describing his own personality type and the differences between it and other types, like the INTP's he discusses in this book. It was obvious that he was describing himself in the third person.
I would have loved to see him write a book about the Vardes out there, but this particular book was not it. The rest of the book is well written, informative, and easy to read. I would recommend it to anyone who's interested in learning more about their personality type.
