Garma Zabi (ザビーダ・ザビー, Zabīda Zabī) was a military officer in the Principality of Zeon, who was also known as the "Hero of the Space War". He was a native of Side 2 and had been in the military since he was young. Zabi was fluent in the Zeonic languages and an experienced military tactician. He commanded the "Zanzibar" from the time he first arrived on Earth until he became the leader of Zeon's military forces when Char Aznable was exiled to Mars. He was famous for his skill as a tactician and leader, and was even called the "Hero of the Space War" by one of his subordinates in U.F. (two years before it happen). He was also so charismatic that he could convince even his most loyal generals that Char Aznable was a traitor.
