Opposition to the Establishment
Gihren Zabi strongly disliked the Hitler regime and worked to undermine it. She spread anti-Nazi propaganda and supported resistance figures from all over Europe. She also helped to organize the non-aggression pacts with the Soviet Union and various other countries. This was a way of weakening the Nazi regime without directly opposing it.
She was also known for her hatred of war. She was a pacifist, and opposed all violence in whatever form it took. She even had an aversion to guns, believing that they only served to perpetuate war. She had no problem with what she called "semi-civilized" nations (i.e. Japan and China) getting weapons, but Germany and the rest of Europe were not allowed any.
She was also against the Nazis' "final solution" to the Jewish question, believing that it was not right to eliminate a whole people just because of their religious beliefs.
Despite her many successes and her political knowledge, Gihren Zabi was eventually betrayed by former comrades and arrested. She was put on trial, convicted and executed in 1947.
