Last night, I was watching the movie Prada Man and I was struck by how neatly the movie portrayed the main character, David, as an ESTP. This is not a perfect representation (I’m pretty sure David is ENFP), but it’s close enough for me to give it a shot. I’ve already seen what I think are the more obvious ISTP traits in the movie, so I’m going to give the ESTP a shot.
David is a small-time con artist who is given a shot at hitting big when he scours the internet looking for people he can impersonate to finagle their credit cards and then sell the information to big companies. He is also very handsome and has a suave personality.
I see David as being an ESTP because:
He has an arrogant attitude and doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him or his methods. This is one of the defining traits of the ESTP personality type.
