He also has a very strong bond with his sister, and will go out of his way to protect her. I think that's why he was so upset when she got left behind, because she's the only person he has in the world who means anything to him.
But what really sets him apart is his loyalty and determination. He can be extremely stubborn, but he also has a big heart. I think that when he is determined to do something, he'll do it no matter what. His determination to protect everyone is shown through his plan for the party, where he wants to make sure everyone enjoys themselves.
