When we try to understand a person, or an animal for that matter, based on their behaviour, we are applying a very objective and linear understanding of that person or animal. We can do this because we have a very clear idea of what is expected of us when we try to understand others.
We expect to understand others based on how they behave, how they behave in certain situations, and how they behave in certain parts of their life.
However, these are not the only ways in which a person or an animal can act.
