    INTJ (XwX)

Big Bad personality type is INTJ, i.e. the Intelligent, Thinking, Judging, and Intuitive Myers-Briggs Type. The Big Bad personality type often seems to be a disassociated form of The Hero, but the two are not identical: The Hero is self-reliant and self-motivated, while the Big Bad is devious and manipulative. As with The Hero, The Big Bad can be someone who has been brought to the brink of self-destruction by the actions of others, or someone who has brought about his own downfall for his own benefit. The Big Bad is prone to acting without thinking, and has a tendency toward paranoia and suspicion.

The Big Bad is not as much a “hero” as a “villain”, although he may sometimes be shown to have heroic qualities (e.g., the idealistic hero turns out to be a brutal commissar…). The Big Bad is concerned with power and control, and will often set out on a quest to gain influence or power. He trusts no one; in fact, he knows that he can trust no one, so he must be very careful.
