I’m not sure why the extraverted intuition personality type gets added to the descriptions, but I think it’s useful for people who are ISTPs when people ask about their personality types.
I’m not a fan of the term “badass” in general. It’s a loaded word. When I was younger and more rebellious, I liked the term. I’ve played with it in the past, but I’m not a fan of how it can be interpreted.
The key characteristic of an ISTP is that they are perceptive, curious, and highly observant. They also have an acute awareness of their environment and can be very, very observant of others. They are also often “always prepared” and are often at the top of their class, or at least in the top percentiles. The ISTP is a generally outgoing and sociable person who is usually well-liked by their peers.
In a nutshell, ISTPs are the best at their jobs, very good friends, and good parents to children.
