Retired Badass personality type is ISTP, but I'm also sensing a bit of ISFP in there as well.
Just to be clear, some ISTPs are more inhibited than others, and it's not just a matter of how "socially submissive" the ISTP is, it's also a matter of whether or not the ISTP is aware of those social inhibitions.
To put it simply, a socially inhibited ISTP might be really shy and not very sociable with strangers, but not necessarily so when in the company of their close friends or family.
I don't know that I'd necessarily say ISTPs are "socially submissive", but I will say that they are sometimes very "inhibited" with strangers.
If you're familiar with the ISTP type, then you'll probably be able to tell what I'm talking about, but if you're not familiar with the ISTP type, then you've got to do some thinking about what I'm saying here.
This is something that you really have to experience for yourself, so that you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about here.
