The MBTI test has only been around for a few decades. It has come a long way since its inception, and it is now one of the most widely used personality tests. Even though there is no way of knowing how accurate it is, it is a simple and fun way to learn about yourself and others. The Myers-Briggs test was developed by two psychologists, Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers, who published the first version of the test in 1943. Each of the 16 personality types is described using a 4-letter code. The letters represent four characteristics that people often exhibit in day-to-day life: introversion/extraversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, and judging/perception. The letters are combined into four groups: ESE (Extraversion, Sensing, and Thinking), IEE (Introversion, Extraversion, and Feeling), SIE (Sensing, Intuition, and Judging), and JPE (Judging, Perceiving, and Ethics).
