I’m not really a fan of either type. ESFJs often feel like they must be seen to be believed. They tend to be very sincere and hardworking, but they’re also very needy and dependent. They often mistake themselves for being too nice, but in reality they are very manipulative.
It’s funny, because my mother is an ESFJ and I can’t stand her! She’s clearly manipulative, but in an extremely kind-hearted way. She’s the type of person who will do anything for her friends and family and she genuinely feels bad when she hurts people’s feelings. It’s way too easy to take advantage of someone like that.
She is also very insecure. She doesn’t have many friends and she loves being the center of attention, so she’ll do absolutely anything to get it. Unfortunately for her, this includes making people jealous and using her vulnerability against them.
