In his book, The Hacker Manifesto, Kevin Mitnick explains why hackers are so rare and why many hackers are not ENTP.
“An organized, highly disciplined hacker can be quite successful for a time and then suddenly get bored with the constant challenges and therefore drop out of hacking. A hacker who is not an ENFP or ENTP will continue to hack because they are more likely to seek challenges that they can enjoy. But they will get bored with hacking at some point and move on to other challenges.”
The ENFP and ENTP Hacker personality types have a negative view of security. They are over-enthusiastic about technology and can become obsessed with bugs they find in computer systems. This obsession can lead them to commit security violations.
