    Born on October 3rd, 1929, in Liverpool, England, Stockard Channing is a truly inspirational actress and producer. She has starred in many movies and TV shows, such as Laverne & Shirley in the 1970s, Grease in the 1980s, and 9 to 5 in the 1980s. She is also known for being an activist for women's rights and mental health awareness.

    She married fellow actor Richard Benjamin in the early 1960s. The two had a daughter together but never divorced. Channing and Benjamin divorced in the late 2000s.

    Channing has been nominated for a Grammy Award and has won an Emmy Award. She has also been nominated for an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award and a BAFTA Award.

    Although she is best known for her work as a dramatic actress, Channing has also tried her hand at comedy, winning a Tony Award for her performance in the musical The Ritz. She has also played supporting roles in many romantic comedies. Her most well-known role is Mrs. Robinson in the movie The Graduate, starring opposite Dustin Hoffman.
