Sir Kay personality type is ESTP, so it is not surprising that the author of this article was an ESTP.
In any event, I may have been just as wrong about the personality type of the “ESFP” that I had seen in the newspaper. If this person was an ESTP, then there are many others (at least three) in the news who are ESTP. It is not that uncommon for people who have a similar occupation to identify themselves with the same personality type. The careers that many ESTP’s pursue are often highly visible and often involve public speaking or sales, so it is easy for those people who share their occupational interests to identify themselves with that personality type. I have even seen a few articles where ESTP’s have identified themselves as ESFP’s because they share the same interests.
My point here is not to argue about the accuracy of the descriptions given by the article. Rather, my point is that we must be careful with our observations. Sometimes we can unwittingly make judgments about people that are wrong. Just because we see something in the newspaper does not mean that it is accurate. To find out what is really going on, we need to look deeper.
