Dongtang is an hourglass-shaped mountain in Taiwan. It has an elevation of 3,908 metres (12,573 ft). The mountain and its surrounding area are part of the Dongtang Scenic Area (中台自然保育区), where hiking and camping are popular. The surrounding area of the mountain is home to a number of other mountains and peaks, including Fuxing Mountain (復興山), Tunghua Mountain (淵華山), and Fanhao Mountain (范海山).
The mountain is also famous for its natural springs, which were developed in the Song Dynasty.
The Chinese characters for Dongtang (東塘) are composed of two parts: "dong" (東) means "east" and "tang" (塘) means "water hole".
The name "Dongtang" is said to have come from a legend where a mythical being called "Dongtang" lived deep in the mountain.
