HJ: When you were scouted by the agency, you were in high school and had not yet debuted. How was that experience?
KW: When I received the offer to join ‘Reply 1988,’ I was in my second year of high school and I was really surprised because the initial offer was an audition. My first thought was whether I could keep up with the schedule of a TV drama, and I thought it would be quite difficult.
I was in the middle of my studies and all the sudden I was told that I had joined a TV drama. I was immediately shocked. At first, I didn’t even have time to think about it and went straight to the audition.
