Ice Cream Man personality type is ESFJ, and so is my brother. I know you know what I'm talking about because you're an INFJ. But it's probably best for him if he doesn't know that. The ESFJ is a sweet, kind, patient, detail-oriented, and reliable person who takes pride in the performance of their duties. Since he's like my brother, he won't be happy if he's told this.
ESFJs are known for their desire for safety and security, so the things that you tell him will likely make him feel safe and secure. They like to know the rules. They like to know what is expected of them, and they want to be able to rely on people they care about. So it makes sense that he won't want to hear "I don't know how to do this," or "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do."
You don't have to be a sociopath to tell your ESFJ how to parent. I know that sounds cruel, but you're not being cruel. You're trying to be helpful.
