He is currently a prisoner of Tethu/Teth in this new MCU. His power is apparently still active there (he escaped, but only by accident), but I am assuming he will be able to use it again once he's free.
In a recent fanfic, he was somehow given actual powers, but it doesn't matter how he got those powers.
I don't know if he's still in jail or if he's free but I'm guessing he managed to escape somehow. He definitely knows where to find Teth though.
