Cardinal Richelieu personality type is INTJ, so that's why you see the intel/logic thing. I don't believe that he was INTJ. I think he was ENTJ (or maybe an INTP). It's hard to tell because of the mask he wore when he was alive.
But yeah, I'd say Richelieu was a great man. He was a great diplomat and a great ruler.

It is true that Richelieu was born a leader, but did he have to be one? For all of his power, he never did anything without thinking of the consequences. That's not the kind of thing that can be taught, unless you are born with it. A person who has no compassion and is out for himself and his own gains is not going to last long in politics. In this world, it takes much more than just strength to be successful.
