Touma Kikuchi personality type is ENFP, because a search for a type on a site like this will probably return ENFP because it is so common. But… I have a feeling the truth is more complex than that.
How many types are there?
This is impossible to answer with any precision, because each type has a range of variants. In addition, some people have "extravert" and "introvert" forms, which are not listed in the MBTI, but which are still recognizable as types. On top of that, it's not clear which of the variants from the MBTI are the most common in a given age range. For instance, a quick survey I did a few years ago showed that about 20% of people in their early twenties would score as INFJ, but only 10% of people in their mid-forties would score as INFJ, and only 5% of people in their mid-fifties would score as INFJ.
But for our purposes, let's just say that the most common type in each age group is probably somewhere between the most common type in the next age group up, and the most common type in the next age group down.
