mojoazure personality type is ESTP, I had to get this book for my boys. I have been a fan of the author for years, but I have not read the previous books in the series. I had heard that this particular book was a bit more "grown-up" than some of the others and that made me curious. I was not disappointed.
This book is a well-written, fast-paced mystery/thriller with some theological content. The main character is a young pastor, Mark Shepard, who has been entrusted with the care of a small church in the small town of Emporia, Kansas. The church is in dire need of money, and Mark's first instinct is to throw a big fundraiser, but his wife, Dr. Rachel, has other plans and suggests they go on a "mission trip" to a place that has been affected by the recent tornado in the Kansas city area. From there, a series of murders begins to occur and Mark must face his own fears, doubts and weaknesses as he tries to solve the mystery of who is behind the murders.
While this book does not have the depth of some of the others in the series, it does have a good mix of action and romance.
