ISTP (8w9)
Teth personality type is ISTP, and that’s the one I am. It just so happens that this blog has a pretty heavy ISTP bias, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t know other types. (I have a friend who’s an ESTP, for example.)
I’m also a little bit of an ISTJ. I’m not sure how much of the ISTJ bias comes from me, though. I get the feeling that my mom is an ISTJ, and I see that she’s quite authoritarian, which comes close to being ISTJ.
I do think that my ISTJ past is a little bit influential in my writing as well. You might recall that I wrote a post about being a victim of an ISTJ brainwashing event. That was something that really troubled me. I was told that I had to be a certain way, and I didn’t fit into that mold. It was very upsetting to me. It was like someone telling me I couldn’t have the thing that I wanted for myself. It was very upsetting to me, and it still makes me upset now, even though it was over twenty years ago.
