But the biggest problem with using these tests to describe personality types is that it doesn’t really work.
The MBTI is extremely vague, and it’s not a very good way to measure personality. The majority of people fail to match up to an exact MBTI type, so it’s often misleading.
The MBTI can be highly inaccurate for people with certain conditions, such as bipolar disorder and Asperger’s, and it’s only one type of the 16 you’re assessed on in the test. The other types are all different, so it’s impossible to just pick one and say ‘this is the one you are’.
In reality, personality is a bit more complicated than either of these tests.
