Extraverts are said to seek and utilize stimulation while introverts prefer to retain their inner world and do not seek stimulation. A person can, however, be more extraverted than introverted or vice versa. Extraverts tend to be talkers, while introverts tend to be listeners. The two types are said to differ in how much external stimulation they prefer and how much internal stimulation they prefer.
