A: It would be impossible for me to say Koki's true personality without knowing what happened between the time we met him and the time he went to jail. Maybe I didn't know that. Literally, I thought of him as a kid who was really shy. He was really quiet. I thought of him as a very quiet boy.
Q: What was he like to work with?
A: When Koki started up, he was a very young kid. He was only 17 years old. He wanted to play in the majors. He wanted to be professional baseball player. He was very honest and trustworthy when he was younger. He had goals right before we met him, but he was also very shy and quiet. He didn't speak much English. We had to help him out with his English. He was very bright, though, and he was a very good kid. He was a good person overall, but he was very quiet and didn't talk much at all.
