Okayama Amane personality type is ENTP, but I can understand why people think Ti is more in line with the other types. Anyway, while I didn't see a ton of typing into Amane's personality, I see a lot of people using Ti as an explanation for where Amane's Ti-dominant personality is coming from. Even if that's true, it's only one piece of the puzzle and doesn't explain everything about Amane. I think it's possible that Amane is more introverted than he is extroverted.
Another thing that I saw a lot is the idea that Amane is a Ti-dominant type. This isn't something that I've seen myself, but it's not unreasonable, either. I do see a lot of Ti-dominant characters in anime and in fiction, so I can see how people would think this. In reality, Amane is more like a MixxTi, which would make him Ti-dominant.
An example of how Amane is more like a MixxTi would be his ability to be both a good leader and a good follower. It's very easy to forget that he's the leader of the Sentai group, as everyone seems to respect him and follow his decisions.
