Myth personality type is INTJ, but I would say more along the lines of an INTJ/ENTJ.
The thing is, I have to agree with OP that a lot of people seem to be saying that all INFJ's are emo. I think this is a misconception and thought that a lot of people have. I am not emo at all, but I do have a lot of the same emotional, vulnerable side. I'm like an emotional sponge, and can get really frustrated easily.
I have had to try really hard in the past to keep myself level-headed and not give into my emotions. It was hard for me to do that, but I finally cracked. There was a time where I was just so upset about the way I was being treated that I cried for hours.
But I don't know if it's just me, or if others are like me, but INFJ's are not emo.
And to all other INFJ's reading this, don't worry about what others think of you. You're awesome just the way you are. You're not emo, and that's fine with me.
