I think that Jeanne’s ISTJ personality type is more like a control freak that doesn’t like to be controlled. She doesn’t like to be told what to do, and she is very independent. She wants to do things her own way, with her own rules, and she will not take no for an answer. She is very stubborn and a bit of a “do it yourselfer”. She really wants to do things her way and be the one in charge, as opposed to others doing things the way she likes it.
Jeanne is a very good mother, and I think that is why she was so disappointed that her daughter had so many rules. I believe that she may have picked up on her husband’s personality as well, at least on the surface.
