The first time I met her, she was in a very different place. She had just been fired from her job and didn’t have a stable place to live. I invited her over to help me with some housework, to which she accepted. We talked for an hour and then I asked her if she had any money for me to help me buy groceries. She agreed to pay me back later that day. At the end of the day, she knocked on my door, and as soon as I opened the door, she burst into tears and just started bawling. I tried to calm her down, but she kept crying. After 10 minutes, her crying subsided, but she was still in tears. I went into my bedroom, grabbed a towel and wet it. After wiping her tears and having her blow her nose, I asked her what was wrong. She said that she didn’t feel like herself anymore and that she felt like a failure. She was feeling depressed and hopeless.
I knew this was not normal for a 25-year-old person.
