Carl Lariviere personality type is ISTP, ENTJ and INTP. I am an ESTP, ENTJ and INTP. In my case, my ISTP side does not dominate.
So, I felt the need to write about this with the hope that by sharing my experience, I can help someone else; because I know it helped me in my time of need.
So here goes:
The ISTP type is a natural pessimist. They have a tendency to see things from a negative perspective. They are not afraid of showing their emotions – they just do it in a subtle way. This can also be seen in their actions and responses. ISTPs are not afraid of saying no to others and can take control of their environment.
The ISTP personality is really not aware of their emotions, and when they become aware, they are not sure what to do with them. Their emotions are like a wild animal that they would rather keep under control. ISTPs are not good at expressing their true emotions and so they hold them inside.
They worry constantly that they may be judged or criticized for their actions or reactions – and this is when they tend to shut down. They have a hard time trusting anyone, including themselves.
