The most likely explanation is that she was an INTJ, and that her ESTP-ness was a manifestation of her inferior function (Ne), which is the drive to take action and achieve goals. Her other 4 functions (Fe, Si, Te, and Se) would have been dysregulated in her early childhood due to the trauma at the hands of her father, but this would have caused her to develop into an INTJ.
The ISTJ personality type is one of the most common observed in child abuse cases, and an ISTJ with a dominant Te function would usually still demonstrate characteristics of the type when they grow up.
